Chimborazo to Yunga: The Ultimate High-Altitude Descent
Embark on an unforgettable two-day MTB adventure from the towering heights of Chimborazo Volcano to the lush, tropical lowlands of the Yunga. We kick off this epic ride at a stunning 4,800 meters above sea level, surrounded by surreal high-Andean landscapes and 360° views of the Ecuadorian Andes.
On Day 1, the ride drops through dramatic sand fields, high-speed open sections, and fast, flowing singletrack. You'll experience a thrilling shift in terrain and climate as we descend thousands of meters, with incredible vistas at every turn. This day is packed with variety and fun—ideal for riders who love raw nature and dynamic riding.

On Day 2, we take on the world-famous Mamarummi Trail—a historic singletrack that follows ancient smuggling routes once used to transport alcohol from the coast to the Andes. This trail is pure mountain biking magic: narrow, technical lines through lush vegetation, flowing for kilometers downhill.
We finish the ride in Telimbela, a charming town nestled at just 800 meters above sea level, where a crystal-clear river invites us to cool off and relax. From there, we shuttle to San Miguel to enjoy a well-earned local meal and recharge before heading back.
This tour is a true deep-dive into Ecuador's vertical diversity—descending more than 4,000 meters, crossing ecosystems, climates, and cultures. It’s more than a ride; it's a story you’ll never forget.
